Stuart Holden Retires

Just been announced that stuart has retired. Never recovered from the knee injury from that terrible tackle by evans on that fateful day at old trafford. The same could be said of bolton. Holden was the heartbeat of coyles team. A possible top 8 finish, cup final appearance and a third uefa cup run turned into a disappointing 14th place finish, 5-0 cup semi final defeat, eventual relegation and 4 mediocre seasons in the championship which will probably end up in relegation to league one. Anyway good luck in the future http://www.ussoccer.com/stories/2016/02/03/19/42/160203-mnt-stuart-holden-announces-retirement-as-player-from-game-of-soccer.

What a fantastic guy. I wish him all the best and I know whatever he decides to do he will make a success of it.

He's just that kind of man.

It's very quiet on here today. I hope it livens up tonight.

This article should be brimming with accolades to Stuart Holden. He's one of the nicest guys ever to don a Bolton shirt and there have been many great guys and characters over the years.

Agreed SWIE

Would like to think we see him again, in some capacity at the Macron, and a few of the other players who never really said goodbye.

Not sure where all the other regulars have gone, I wasn't impressed the other day when the site went down on matchday.

No I suppose a few of the regular posters were a bit miffed.

I was once again experiencing problems with my laptop and had to spend a couple of hours re-configuring it., so I couldn't have taken part in any event.

Sad news about Stuart Holden. An exciting player and seemingly a great guy. It's a real shame his career was cut so short and we never got to enjoy what would probably otherwise have been his best years.

I wish him all the best for the future and hope he finds a career he can enjoy as much as he enjoyed playing.
