Right i'm not going to hide the fact that i'm really annoyed we didn't step up this window after all the noises coming from the chairman earlier on in the summer. We all know a few more players of quality would of made a huge difference but what the hell can we do about it? Everyone knows my views and my hatred for Levy leaving everything until the Last Bloody minute which normally fails on the incoming front as proved Yesterday and In Jan. Why the hell we didn't try and go for Cahill begining of the summer i will never know but that's a different matter altogether and i'm not going to get myself in a stress trying to talk about it....
After a long Nightshift last night it got me thinking that although much more could and should of been done this window and 5mil spent this summer for a team of our Calibur and where we want to be is pretty pathetic but we have actually improved although very slightly. We have Sold Peter Crouch who i will be grateful for some of his important goals but he never was a player that fit tottenhams style because he just weren't good enough and had a horrible goal scoring record to boot. We played the awful hoofball when ever he was playing and i am so glad that's the final time we see that at the Lane.
We have replaced him with yes i agree a tempramental character in Adebayor but also a much better striker who if we can him back to his best form will score 3 x times the amount of goals Crouch will ever get. This could be a huge factor in getting back in the top 4 as we were crying out for a 20+ goal a season striker last Yr......we got him now in Adebayor!!! Scott Parker although not the most spectacular of signings will add that steel and grit to the midfield that we have been lacking the first 2 games. He will work his socks off and the fact that he put in the 2nd highest number of tackles in the premier league last season proves everything we need to know.
Sandro our brilliant Brazillian is back very soon and should be ready in a few weeks. What a huge difference that will make as he was one of our best players in the 2nd half of last season. Gallas also hopefully back soon and will also be a major imrovement in that Horrible partnership in Daswson and Kaboul. Modric ( our best player) has been kept and Levy has gone with his word which i am grateful for. Yes we all know the little rat wants out but he will have no choice now but to get down and play his heart out. Will take a lot for us to forgive but i'm sure after a few months of good performances we will be singing his name again. We have not bowed down to a players demands and Chelsea's dirty money......i applaud Daniel Levy for that....
The only worry i have is Adebayor getting Injured and were left with Defoe and Pav which means were back to square one. Also Gallas and King will probably be injured throughout and i just can't stand the thought of Dawson and Kaboul as a centreback partnership anymore. Alone as individual defenders with a decent Centreback they are fine but as a partnership they are a nightmare. Anyway i'm looking at positives and i also hope to see our Youngster Colibaly ( 16 yr old "baby drogba" ) in Europe and you never know but this guy we got on Loan from Juventus might be a top signing? Who knows!!! Onwards and upwards boys to that top 4 hopefully.....COYS!!!
I'm annoyed but we have Improved!!!

Don I'm not totally convinced with the transfer window
For one we let a striker go without bringing anyone in, that has annoyed me, why leave us with 3 (it may as well be two with Pav) I hope this means that Gio gets some gametime this season
You all know how much I love Gio.
Wilson, Bentley, Jenas, Palacious, Crouch, Hutts all out, which leaves us short in the team I know that we need to only register 25 players and we had 29 players in the squad.
Adey and Parker - Yes great players to bring in, I'm hoping that none of these pick up injuries!
All in all it was an average window!.. it could have been better with Cahill and another striker!
Oh.. why didn't we offer £15 KNOWING we were getting £15 million in?
Makes no sense

Why didn't we sign earlier? Simple really, we were in an unusual position this time of having far too many on our books already to still pay wages too, meaning we had way more than the 25.
Bring a player in and what would that have done...ruined competition for place. Lets say you were one of 5 CB's, and Cahill was bought as you say ages ago. Probably all of them would be then thinking, "whats he doing here, I wonder if its me out the door.?"...not good, not good at all. Teams with 5 CB's plus a promising lad in Caulker, can't really say they 'need' another one, not without telling one they're surplus, then you're not getting the best from him. Cahill hinged on one leaving, looks like Bassong in this case. If we'd bought him anyway, we'd have six now, and you can't have 6 for one position these days can you.
Its not a case of buying earlier, this window was more about selling, that's what should have been done earlier.

Spurs are apparently Europe's 12th richest club or even the world's I'm not sure and less well off teams would want to exploit that by inflating prices just as we would to richer teams. It's something Levy must guard against. A lot goes on behind the scenes about which we know nothing.
