Tomorrow sees the return to the Keepmoat of the Fat boy from Sheffield where he will be up against two former team mates in Alcock and Butler. Who will come out on top, hopefully the ex Blades. I also wonder what kind of reception he will get, a good one based on his first stint with us or a bad one for the lack of effort during his second spell, what do you think?
Darren Ferguson was somewhat pleased to have last week's game called off for two reasons. One, it was done early enough to allow him to get to Bramall Lane to watch the Blades, and, two, it allowed the injury situation to clear up. Apart from N'Guessen and Main we habe a full squad to choose from. Both strikers are to be put out on loan when they do get fit.
The only other possible doubt is Conor Grant, who has trained and will train again today ( Friday). The problem for DF is who to put on the bench as he knows what his first eleven will be.
Darren Ferguson's assessment of Saturday was that Wigan played very well and won fairly comfortably. There is a lot of frustration at Bramall Lane at the moment in terms of expectations etc. It is going to be a tough game but one we are looking forward to. Can we play on the frustration, "No", We have to make sure that we play to the best of our ability as there are key areas where we can hurt them.
This is a very important part of the season as we cannot allow for it to peter out. We have to look towin every game for the players, coaches but most importantly for the fans who have been fantastic.
This game will be big from the point of view of the crowd and the atmosphere. If we can match the Stke game we can win well.
Ferguson believes that th change in the emergency loan system will benefit Rovers as we are looking for a younger squad with more home grown talent. Other teams may not agree, but we are putting our future in developing home grown kids.
As for the Blades, their manager Nigel Adkins is demanding a" positive mindset" from his players, who he says have worked hard in training, but that it must be transferred to a game situation. Doncaster play a couple of different ways and we have to be flexible and have the ability to adapt during the game.
There will be 3,500 Blades fans at the game and we need to give them something to get excited about. OH NO YOU DON'T.

I did, yes that is true.
But you know what, if i had a lean spell in front of goal it did affect my confidence but i was lucky in that i never had my own supporters on my back.

No change in Curtis Main. He came off the bench for Oldham at Blackpool and missed the goal from six yards out with the keeper nowhere in sight.

"Debutant Curtis Main had Latics’ best chance in the final 15 minutes of the game but headed over from six yards after Danny Lafferty’s powerful effort was tipped into his path."
...not just a chance, but the best one.
