I am a bit surprised he is getting all this attention quite early in his tenure as Spurs boss.Fabulous coach who immediately showed his quality at Southampton but in my humble opinion he is no different to other young managers like Martinez, Koeman,Rodgers or AVB who have shown capability. My point is until he has actually won a trophy or 2, he is still to some extent an unknown.
What I do like about him which gives him the edge over his other peers is his recruitment and ability to make players play extremely well in their positions. Look how he made southampton players look good as a unit and individually only for the same players to suffer under Rodgers.
For all the criticism he gets, I rate Rodgers as a decent manager who given the right players would flourish but he is sadly one of those managers who are clueless at recruitment. He also pays too much attention to what people around him think, something that ultimately ruined AVB and Rafa to an extent. I love how Pochettino pretended not to know English just to avoid having to engage the press on useless subjects.
I also rate Martinez a lot who despite criticism for his inability to organise a defence is still a progressive manager who sets his teams up very well in attack and in most cases non of his teams struggle for goals. He is also tactically brilliant as shown in seasons where he would win a lot of big games against the top teams by working on their weaknesses be it at Wigan or Everton. He has also recruited okayish and has built a very good Everton side that should be doing better.
I still think its a little too early to judge these young managers until they actually achieve something. They also tend to split opinion among their own fans as you would find the conservative generation at Spurs and Everton probably don't think their managers are good enough whilst the younger generation are more excited and willing to see their projects prosper.

The vast majority of us are very happy with the job poch is doing at our place.
You can see the players want to play for him and if we finish in the top 4 then we'll be happy with that.

I seem to remember pundits criticise him last season and some sections of the fans have booed although its hard to tell if that was directed to the players or manager

Strange you call Koeman a young manager when he's the same age as Mourinho.

You state this, and then in the very next paragraph go on to state this:
"What I do like about him which gives him the edge over his other peers is his recruitment and ability to make players play extremely well in their positions. Look how he made southampton players look good as a unit and individually only for the same players to suffer under Rodgers."
I'm not sure how you can like a guy and still express surprise at the attention he's receiving.
Pochettino has proven himself tactically adaptable, shrewd with signings, demanding and intense without being overbearing, clever at managing young talent and has a good temperament. He's at a stage of his career where he's well worth the "gamble" for any big club.

Martinez has won the FA cup with Wigan! And doing quite well at Everton, though you could argue they're still at the same level as they were under Moyes but this team is younger and has much more to show.
Pochetino has done the impossible though. He got spurs challenging for the league. Deserves a big club
