Good artice by Marc Iles of The Bolton News.
Whilst he rightly manages to keep a respectful tone for the recently deceased Chairman, with subtle skill Iles tells us what he really thinks and knows, especially about PGs contempt for the fans and aversion to criticism. Whilst it is of course a sad time for all the close family and friends, we musn't let sympathy and rose-tinted obituaries stop us from asking some very serious questions about his role in what has happened to our club.
This sentence from the last paragraph sums it up really:
'His passing leaves a lot of unanswered questions about the decisions that got Wanderers into the position they are in.'

Damning with feint praise.

Well guys your wrong about the San Miguel. If I have a pint shandy a week that's about it. I'm not sure how much you two drink but perhaps it's more than me.
Yes the point about if he dies being a flippant comment wasn't actually a flippant comment at all. You meant it at the time, no matter how hard you try to change your meaning.
I don't pick on the more irrelevant parts of your comments. If you put them on the board, they're not irrelevant. You presumably put them there for a reason. In your case it's to add weight to your point.
No I don't hate you. In fact I can't say I actually hate anyone. I don't agree with many of you comments and The vitriol that you have just poured out, suggest you have a problem with me. Which to be honest, I know you have.
Is it bold to suggest his exile is due to him being "difficult".
It just shoes your mentality. You are actually losing it.
A point i have made about the debt figure is that it doesnt behave like real debt.
No you have said continually that it isn't a debt. You see how you try to change what you have continually written. If you were a little bit cleverer, you wouldn't do that because it makes you look stupid. The FACTS that you refer to are not facts and have been roundly condemned of late. I know what equity is and it's not a debt of almost £200,000,000
Eddie, has already sold a car park, possibly for £20,000,000 or so reported. If that is the case, don't expect him to put it all back into the club. Once again I make the point to you that Ed has no chance of selling the club with that amount of debt, so he really had no option. He can't even sell it if he wipes the debt off, which he has said he will. That must show you just how badly the club has been run. You might be proved right but it will be by default.
It won't be repaid quite simply because nobody will be daft enough to enter any agreement to buy the club unless that debt is taken out of the equation. If you don't get that, there is no hope for you.
Accountant? I wouldn't have you dealing with the petty cash.
