What you are saying is that one season of failure preceded by something like 8/10 seasons of unarguable massive success means you are finished.

Start of the decline mate. happens to everyone sooner or later. This time next year, he'll be in a padded cell somewhere insisting that there's a conspiracy against him.

Or it's a dip in regular service to soon be resumed. Neither of us are soothsayers. However there's a lot of success in his past and much less failure.

Very true, I personally think he has become too high-risk. Will OT be big enough to control his ego ? Let's be honest here, before he got sacked he had become a total embarrassment to Chelsea. If I had got the sack for behaving the way Jose did, I'd be virtually unemployable for many a year. If the board think they can control and censure him then they think the risk is worth taking. Still not certain he's got the job yet, until it's announced officially I would take everything with a large bucket of salt

Don't forget that we had 3 seasons with no title under SAF before we bounced back. Every manager will have tough spells but the best ones bounce back and Jose deserves to be recognised as a top manager.

True Mr P but I don't think any big club will give a manager that amount of time any more, 18 months-2 years tops and if no trophies it'll be the bum's rush for Jose again.

That's not much of a worry. Has mou ever failed to win a trophy within 2 years of taking over?
