Reports today that Steve Hollis has ordered a complete investigation into this seasons disgrace.
Nothing will be concluded until the summer, however I imagine Fox, Riley and Helmet are feeling a little uneasier in their positions.
Could this be the first flex of Mr Hollis' muscles?
Has Hollis seen enough?

It's needed. And there have to be changes. I take "summer" with a pinch of salt. Fact is, by the end of this season we need a plan already in place for next season with the personnel to go with it. Without that in place we'll be spending time recruiting those personnel when everything should be concentrated on getting in the players required and having a good full pre-season.
Which means that Remi's situation needs to be resolved before the summer. I would say that by mid April he needs to know if he's going to get the support for next season he wants. Or if he's not staying then Villa need the right manager in their sights.

It'll probably be like one of the FA's famous "root and branch" investigations which, on each occassion, ended with the top managers getting a lot more money and workers lower down the pile getting the boot!

I bet you Hollis's investigation will absolve your owner of any fault or responsibility. Instead, the blame will be laid at the doors of the people Randy Lerner appointed into executive positions, on both the footballing and non-footballing side. Best of all, Hollis will name no names, because that could then lead to libel cases against the club. What will happen is those deemed responsible will quietly have their contracts paid up. First up will be the people responsible for last summer's transfers-in activity. I bet Tim Sherwood's rubbing his hands together.

If you put lipstick on a pig, its still a pig.
Don't know what you think the investigation will do?
You are s**t basically.

One big reason the players have been garbage is the lack of balance in the team. The job of the midfield is to move the attack forwards. If there's no forward worthy of the name then the attack fizzles. If the attack fizzles then the opposition has a base to attack from. Stick some of these players in a well-balanced side and they'd be fine. Which is why no effort to repair the team in January was so stupid.
I think the point of Hollis's review is not to delve into the past, but work out where the new order last summer got it so badly wrong. Or to put it differently, if you want to sack somebody you end up with trouble if you haven't got a clear reason for doing so.
