With the game just over a week away now I thought I would see how the two teams compare quality wise.
Here is the official Dundee/The Rangers combined XI
(Note injured players are included as I know one of the teams has a couple of good players out injured):

I was hesitant to put Loy in as he had only really proved it in the championship until this season which we all know means nothing at this level, but has proven it in the Premiership this season with his goals.
Overall it is a surprisingly strong combined eleven, despite one of the teams being a lowly championship side.

Disclaimer: At no point have I predicted us to beat The Rangers or any form of Ranger. I have merely stated the combined XI. I am aware that there may be other outside factors which may affect the outcome of the game, where starting XI and tactics can have very little impact on.
That should cover that.

This is too near the truth.
