Hull vs Arsenal: Replay date confirmed

Looks like the Hull replay will be played on Tuesday 8 March (7pm kick-off). Sounds fair enough and only place you can put it as the following weekend is the Quarter final round.

Should put out a strong team out as its just like a normal week for a team like Arsenal. Play 3 days after Spurs and then could possible play on the weekend if we progress. Was worried it might have been on a Monday or Tueday at 5:30pm like Barca vs Sporting Gijon cos of the Uefa rules.

Glad Uefa understood and accepted we can play on Tuesday at 7:00pm, so we won't be punished for it. Also big kudos for Hull as they've decided to cancel their match vs Brentford on that day and will rearrange accordingly.

Something needs to be done about these fixture congestion. Such a mess and looks like a pure hassle.

BT will be busy that night, with this game and two CL games.

Oh yeah, that's right.. They should be fine. Lineker and the boys will do the Madrid match on BT European, whilst the Gent vs Wolfsburg will probably be on BT Sports 2, with Jake Humphreys doing this match on BT 1

Don't think we need to go too strong, Bruce doesn't even want to progress further does he?

Same team as before would be fine for me, I'd look at it as a chance to keep fringe players sharp rather than bemoan it

Except Giroud.

Three big PL games before then, so a bit early to speculate on the team.
Maybe Cazorla and/or Wilshere could be available?

Why won't it be on BBC? Anyway better for us. The double looks do able and should be the aim!

Because BT had first dibs.

Thought Santi was hoping to be back for the return leg against Banterlona?

Hopefully we'll get to see Wilshere back in time to feature in some capacity, either as sub or starter. Wish we had some stronger attacking options in the youth ranks.

Failing that, play Theo or Danny up front.

Anyway, good decision re. the date - though the KO time feels a little weird. Apparently Arsenal will be subsidising the cost of coach travel. £10 return, which seems decent.

Play a full team. Imo btw the FA cup and the league we have a better chance with the cup

We are 2 points off the top and have won the FA Cup 2 years in a row. Why on earth would anyone prioritise the FA Cup??
