The Treble

I woke up this morning and could have been forgiven for believing that once again Utd had won the treble. The furore in the press was simply staggering. Having then sat down and read all the news feeds, I was quickly brought back down to Earth and realised that, in reality, Utd had beaten a team from the Nordics that nobody outside of Manchester has heard of. The whole experience was a bit Groundhog dayish, as exactly the same happened on Tuesday morning. Now, I hope the week ends with a treble, and that Utd manage to hoof ball their way to victory over Arsenal and keep the Groundhog theme going. Alas, I don't think it'll happen and we'll see Arsenal move a further 3 points clear of City.

Couple more things. Firstly, well done to Utd for disrespecting a cup competition and fielding teenagers in last night's game. Thank God that the match wasn't broadcast on the BBC.

Finally, I think the week's two momentous wins will keep LVG in a job for a further few weeks, which is just dandy.

Have a good weekend everyone.

See all you City fans on Sunday when we all get-together for another cup final.

I love the fact that everyone heard of Midgetland for the first time when they drew United, despite the fact they played city in 2008.
------

Hahahaha! I guess in City's defence, no one cared about them either.

That was a Massive game for Midgetland at the time.

Yep, City were the biggest club they'd faced since... Well, since the week before, when they played Brondby.

Tough fixture list that week!

17,200 watched Midgetland beat city at home. That's probably why this tie's been such a Massive deal for them.

We won the treble in terms of 3 games in different cup competitions all must win and we did it by the required margin
