The Rich List

Interesting article from the the sun http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/6964378/Boltons-crippling-wage-bill-revealed-as-club-prepare-for-League-One.html . Shows the crazy wages being paid to this underachieving lot. None of the players will have their wages cut in event of relegation which will be crippling in league one.

Now you knows where I've been coming from with all the worries about finances over the summer more cuts and redundancies etc to come over the first 12mths of new ownership if we get there with the SS.
The link is just the players imagine the financial waste behind the scenes dig a bit more be warned it only gets worse.
Looking at the deal as you have been told it does not pass the FL tests they have yet to turn the papers over and look at the questions they are still waiting for the papers to arrive before they are allowed to start.

With it being a cold start to the year so far the money tree is a long way of showing any buds

Footballers contracts are a farce. No matter how shizzle they are they will always get paid. If they underachieve it means nothing to their pay they still get the same pay packet each month. Freaking crazy.

We all knew just how badly the club has been run. Quite a few of the players should never have been signed never mind being paid over a hundred thousand a year. That's just the lower paid of the players listed.

Criminal. Then we had Gartside on well over 400,000 a year plus his hangers on, the other directors. Goodness knows what they do for their 100,000 plus per year.

Well Eddie, you've made a COMPLETE BALLS OF IT.

the players is £728k per month plus all the rest of the staff, must be more than the £900k i posted weeks ago, I'm stunned, absolutely stunned.
Don't you think players wages should be tied in to performance / results, we know that will never happen but not one of them have earned their salary this season. The best thing to happen would be receivers in and annul all the contracts & start again, because we are already down.
Mismanagement on a grand scale, not one of the directors should be allowed to hold office ever again.

Well norm,Like you I think it would be great to have wages linked to performances but it's never going to happen. Players are to a great extent controlled by agents and they are in the business to make money so it's a no go.

If the receivers came in and annulled all players contracts, we would lose the few good players we have as well as the dross. If we stay afloat, if we need to, we can sell what decent players we have and at least realise some money for them.

Starting again would mean that the club wouldn't even be in the conference, so which park pitch do you want to play on?

No, we have to stay in business to be able to pick up the pieces and start to rebuild.

Heskey on £7k a week. Nice little pension earned there. The money on him and dobbie could have been put to much better use imo. Also renewing pratleys contract in the summer and signing amos on £16k a week was crazy. They must have known the money was going to run out soon last summer. I know lennon made cuts but the club voluntarily added over £3m a year in the summer if you add it all up plus wilson, casaso and pisanos wages on top.

Not starting again would be the 12 point deduction & relegation to League 1 without the current encumbrances including eddie davies.
