Our wishes coming true?

Not surprised if it is. Hollis was either another yes-man for Lerner or somebody who would tackle the real problems. Seems he's the latter. A couple of weeks ago I couldn't see Fox lasting the season if Hollis was to act, and it looks like that may be the case. Things have got so poisonous that now is the best time to do something.
If I was Hollis I'd get Fox to leave now without too much fuss. Ideally the other two could go as well, but I'm less worried about that; I think they'll go in due course as welI. I think it would be a good idea for Hollis to meet the fans again and also issue a statement about where we're going; if the toxic atmosphere between now and the end of the season could somehow be reduced it would be a very good thing, it damages the club no matter how strong the causes.

Robber - interesting comment in that article about the "senior players". Yes I can believe that Gabby and the likes aren't "impressed" with Duverne & Co; after all Gabby wasn't "impressed" with Duverne before. It's the senior players who are the source of most of our problems; hardly any in that named group are likely to be here after the summer. Seems to me the said players are trying to deflect from themselves the blame for the appalling mistakes which litter their game.
The fact is that the players who have experience are the ones who should be taking the lead in putting things right, not moaning about things not being done their way. No wonder Remi has problems. Houllier had the same; if he'd have stayed the moaners would have gone.
Remi has undoubtedly pushed the players hard in training; it was long overdue. Tim also had problems. We're going nowhere with this shower; boot them out And concentrate on the players who are prepared to work, and the youngsters who are keen to come through
There's interesting rumours going round in France hinting at Garde returning to Lyon. However, if you look into it, what has happened is that Lyon have sacked their manager and put Genesio, Garde's former assistant and the one he wanted at Villa, in temporary charge. Genesio has said that he won't go back to being No. 2 at Lyon, except if it was under Remi, and said that he'd really like to work with Remi again. Which could also mean Genesio coming to Villa.

We are all deluded, those of us who are Villa fans
We all of us, club included, need a positive constructive view of the future. It's negativity which will kill the club. There are good aspects to what we have; amongst all the dross the foundations are there and we need to build on that
