With tough games against Stoke, Liverpool, Chelsea, United and Southampton all to come just how significant a blow was that not to win today.
I don't want to sound like I'm overblowing it - any Spurs fan would have bitten somebody's arm off to be 2 points off the top at this stage if that was proposed to me in August.
But the last two games I think have given an insight into the mental fragility when big opportunities have presented themselves. Twice passed up the chance to go top, and given Arsenal had 10 men there are no excuses good enough to have not won at 2-1 up with 15 to go.
Arsenal only 3 behind. City could be 2 behind if they win their game in Hand.
People keep saying 'Oh, its different, new manager, new mentality' But I fear that with such a tough fixture list ahead, Spurs could quickly transition from Title challengers to UCL hopefuls in the space of a month - and wouldn't that just be so typical of Spurs too.
The Top 4 Battle Begins?

Spurs win their next two, which I expect them to do, then there will be an even more comfortable gap. Remember some of the teams behind play each other, City v United for one, West Ham v Arsenal for another. Spurs have come through a tough period in a very healthy position.

West Ham United we absolutely battered them at OT. Their side is like Newcastle United poor team getting results against us.

Yep, we royally messed up today. Can't believe some are happy with the draw. You can't afford to be drawing when you're up 2-1 against 10 men, when in a tight PL race,
Haven`t Man City just lost two home games to two of their closest rivals, didn`t Leicester drop home points against WBA, didn`t Arsenal drop all three points at home against Swansea. FFS you would think Spurs have just lost half a dozen games on the bounce, and all our rivals are sweeping all before them the way some of you are going on.

So did we and they beat us at their place convincingly. Don't expect an easy game. Then again, this United team shouldn't expect any easy game.

We drew 0-0 despite having 21 shots and many goalbound shots somehow turned away near goaline.
That game could all honesty finished 6-4 to Man Utd but as it is Man Utd it had to finish 0-0. Our best attacking game in PL was against Newcastle United at home and we drew 0-0 could easily scored double figures. Then away we miss 3 chances easier to score then miss and drop another 2 points. To be honest it also happened against Chelsea home and away.
I cannot recall a season were we dropped so many points needlesslty. We dropped at least 15 points for no reason this season so it makes it more frustrating knowing those poor results but good performances meant we are this far behind.

Just because other teams are dropping points, doesn't mean it's fine when we do.
Let's hope Leicester drop more points here otherwise it's going to re-emphasise what a poor result this was for us.

The title race is always interesting. 8 point leads can be just eaten up just like that. Still a good 27 points to play for most teams after this round of fixtures. You could go unbeaten next 9 games and not finish in top 4 but you could lose 2 of next 9 games and still win the title if you win 7 of those games.
