I read this morning that Steve Walsh and Craig Shakespeare have been offered new deals with the club. Should they sign, these would surely represent the biggest signings we could possibly make. Particularly essential should the Italian FA decide that Claudio is their man to replace Conte - continuity has clearly worked for us as a club over the years.
On another note, I'm off to spend the next fortnight in the desert of Abu Dhabi (not with Nev) - gutted I'm going to be missing matches. That's the last time I authorise Mrs 1884 to book a holiday.

It'll be great news to hear they've signed, such an important part of the success story over recent years.
Interesting about Claudio, his stock is riding high at the moment, but might the Italian FA have a tinge of suspicion over his capabilities at international level following his disastrous time with Greece? I know they have much better players than Greece but hopefully some doubt will creep in.
