I don't think he's overrated. But as I have said, I think his performances have sometimes been overrated as his saves have been made out to be better than they actually were.

I agree with that fair bit to be honest. Whilst he does pull out worldies every now and again, I do think he has a knack of making some saves look a lot harder than they actually are.

Personally, I think the difference between the elite goalkeepers is negligible and doesn't have the same influence as some other areas of the pitch can.

Arsenal with a Vieira now for example would make more difference than a keeper change, ditto you with Keane.

So presumably we'll rank amongst the top few teams in terms of chances created? We won't be in the bottom 5 in that department? As a fan who's had to endure this, I already know the answer to that

He he saved the free kick it would have been considered a brilliant save so in that respect he shouldn't really have been expected to save it. It was a superb free kick and de Gea probably did better than most at getting close to it.

He isn't expected to always make brilliant saves which is why I don't think he should have been expected to save the free kick.

Most over-praised player in the league.

Most of the shots during the Liverpool game were straight at him yet the media went into total waankfest.

Boris you make it seem like the media are favouring us. Yet if you ever read a United match report you'd realise that every save DDG makes is overplayed in order to make it seem that we've been played off the park and he's kept us in it

Our season has been destroyed against the bottom third teams just like it was last season otherwise we would be probably top of the premierleague now.
