90 mins I'll never get back

Swansea poor, Villa dreadful.
How cheesed off did Remi look throughout.
He looked like he didnt want to be there, or does he realise after the dismissal of Almstadt and Fox, that the net is now closing around him?
Doesnt show any passion or encouragement on the touchline, even Swansea's manager who's recovering after being hospitalised was there barking out a few instructions on the touchline.
I'm not impressed. Enter the whirlwind which is Pearson. This lot wouldn't know what's hit them!

why you all want Pearson he is an idiot, would rather Gary Monk to be honest.

And yes that was total sheite

Get the impression we were the better side. Until Guzan did his party trick of giving them the present of a goal. So the great Guzan revival hits a wall. In the Championship he could be the difference between challenging for promotion and festering in the bottom half, or worse. This is no great side but the diffensive howlers have been the difference between being where we are and being above the drop zone.

Not surprised Remi is cheesed off. There's nothing he or anybody else can do.

Garry Monk is a decent coach, but at this stage in his career he isn't cut out for Villa boss.
Pearson knows the championship, succeeded in the championship, brought Leicester back from the abyss when they went down to league 1 and let's not forget was instrumental in laying the foundations for this years Premier League title winners. No brainer for me.
If we're lucky we may have a few laughs during his press conferences too!

If Remi goes then getting a decent manager depends very much on Hollis putting in place the sort of structure which such a manager feels is supportive enough and positive enough to commit to the club. For that matter, for Remi to stay depends on the same thing. We're not there yet, but Hollis seems to be doing the right things.

I still think the chances are evenly dividing between (a) Remi feeling too exposed to what has gone on and wanting a fresh start elsewhere
(b) the club feeling that he's too exposed to the past and wanting a fresh start
(c) Remi and the board feeling there is enough to build on for him to stay.

If he does go, then if we can attract a quality manager (see above) then Pearson and Moyes will be around the top of the list. I'd back either if they come; I've a feeling Moyes would edge it. Both are likely to be available because I can't see a vacancy occuring in the 17 PL teams staying up. Unless Everton want Moyes back.

In which case Martinez becomes available.

Keep saying it Moyes for me without question.

He may not be interested coming as he wanted the job before Garde according to reports.

Big rumours Bruce fancies the job, not sure how the appointment of potato head would go down with the Villa faithful.

Anyway feel a lot more positive now Fox isn't involved in the decision making process and people like Little and Bernstein are.

Yep, the new faces at the top certainly help.

If Remi does go then another option is Rogers. Bruce has a head on his shoulders and if he can get Hull promoted I think he might stay with them.

Pearson isn't quite the magician he appears. Remi in his 20 games in charge has 12 points, with a team failing when he took over and no chance to get in his own players; Pearson in his first 20 games in the PL only had 14 points, with what was definitely his own team and having had a successful season in the Championship. I'm not saying he would be a bad choice, but think I'd prefer Moyes or Rogers.

Not sure about Rodgers to be honest. I just can't decide if he is a good manager or not.

All I would say is whoever we go for, let's move quickly as Newcastle and Sunderlabd could well be on the look out.
