Klopp since day 1 has backed the players. Said he wanted to work with them. Has praised them in public and backed them when media were writing columns about them. He has to say that otherwise media will make a witch-hunt on which players are being left out and will be sold (Which means we will get less money for them in the longrun). He has given plenty of opportunities to players to prove themselves. It's common knowledge which have been good, average and/or terrible. As Klopp has said numerous times he thinks of players to have a contract with him for 1 year. Then after that we shall see.
