Team P W D L Pts
Arsenal 8 4 2 2 14
Spurs 9 3 3 3 12
Leicester 8 3 3 2 12
Man utd 7 3 3 1 12
West H 7 3 2 2 11
Man City 9 0 3 6 3
And we are still 8 points behind Leicester
We improve in one direction and drop in other areas.I know we still struggle against teams in the top 10 but our normally excellent record against the bottom 10 is what has cost us this season.
I still think we will come second but the fixtures after the international break could seal it for me.
Arsenal vs Watford
Liverpool vs Tottenham
Leicester vs Southampton
If Leicester drop points against the saints and we win and liverpool hopefully smash the Totts then the following game against Sunderland becomes nervy for Leicester and they could lose it.If they do beat Southampton then i expect them to beat Sunderland easily.
we have an early kickoff against the hammers but I expect us to win that.Of all the relegation threatened teams Sunderland seem to be the hardest to beat.
Still hope they go down along with the bar codes.
We are 2 pts clear of the top 6 mini league

=========
34 points from 42 hasn't really been the decisive factor, has it? (defeats to WBA and Swansea and a draw v Norwich)
It is actually our form against those 5th to 10th that has cost us.
Just 10 points from those 11 games (33 points), suffering 5 of our 7 defeats against this group of teams.

Even worse, Hafi put a link for results v top third teams and City have 3 points from 11 games. Only Villa are worse!

pellegrini was apparently brought in to provide wholistic football but despite his title win and 2 league cups, his management has been one extreme to the next.
what he has done as he leaves city was destroy the aura they had under mancini at home.
the football directors are the biggest culprits though, they brought him in and to make matters worse signed all the awful players that came thereafter

Maybe, that is why Barca weren't bothered to see them leave for City.
