If that comeback had happened earlier in the season I'd have been buzzing at fulltime and still buzzing today. But it's happened now, in the situation we are in, and I'm left feeling deflated and thinking that it's just not enough. We needed the three points.
I thought the game actually summed us as a team up and showed why we are where we are. With 11 men Dundee were the better team and if they'd kept 11 on the park they would have won. They were helped by our biggest problem - a dreadful defence compounded by the worst defender in the league, Gavin Gunning. All three of them were awful though, with Donaldson slightly improving in the second half (when he had no pressure on him) and Morris looking totally unfit.
The sending off changed things (I've not seen it back but I thought maybe a wee bit harsh?). Dundee for me blew it by dropping off and inviting us onto them. They should have been braver. However it exposed another of our major failings - we have very few players in the team who can pass the ball. Our best passer is stuck out as a right wing back, while the defence, Rankin, Dixon and Dow are all poor on the ball. McKay's link up play is awful. One of our bravest players in possession is Scott Fraser yet some United fans think it's a good idea to give him stick...sometimes I really do shake my head at our supporters.
I do shake my head at Mixu though. His tactics are awful and why we continued with three at the back against a knackered lone striker is beyond me.
Speaking of Mixu, I see most of the papers have led with his celebrations of the second goal. Although I don't think it's appropriate or particularly clever of him to react the way he did, I don't think any of the Dees who gave him personal abuse for 90 minutes can say much about it. I also had a wee chuckle at the clip going around of one of the Dees pinging Dixons ear.
One final point - it might not be the most technically brilliant game, but the Dundee derby surely has to be one of the most enthralling derbies out there. It never fails to disappoint in terms of action and drama. Maybe we'll get one more this season after all.

The radio kept saying how much abuse Mixu was getting so he's within his rights imo for a wee get it up ye

I think so rnr, I'm just trying to wind up ivan
if fans give it out then players should be able to respond, a guy gets dogs abuse the whole game and then cups his ear and gets done for it? mental.

At one point I saw him gesturing to someone to get the stewards or police up to deal with it during the second half. I think it was constant.
In fairness it wasn't just Mixu who was giving the Dees stick after the goal. The whole of the United technical area, including the subs, were taking the pash out of them after it.

I really want Utd to stay up but it just doesn't look likely. They've had a few must wins now and failed to win. When is the game in hand? Killie looked like a proper team on Sat so I'd imagine they will start picking up points too. Will you play Killie at home or away in the split?

I think we play them away but not 100% sure.
I don't think we'll stay up. We're running out of games to start winning.

for united to stay up they would prob need to make a playoff place, which means they would probably play hibs.
which means hibs would stay down.
but for ivan I will say I want united to stay up

The game in hand is the one. IF you win that and are 4 behind going into the split then anything can happen As Keny said, I wouldn't fancy Hibs in the play off at all, Falkirk would beat them over 2 legs imo.
Utd have had so many chances to claw it back though and can't seem to take them

It will be falkirk playing the 2nd bottom premier team.
Hubs bottle has crashed, been swept up and chucked in the glass recycling bin. Another loss at weekend when we lost and falkirk gained.
Is that 4 league losses in a row? They are done
