I think I've worked it out - 90216 (sounds a bit like an American rubbish tv drama based on a high school) is a sp*ds fan and is predicting the end of Sp*ds season by showing it falling at the last hurdle

Clearly this is a crude attempt to create a football allegory with Devon Loch famously collapsing in the home straight of the Grand National.
