What's everyones choice of breakfast?
I'm trying to be healthy and step away from the sugary cereals etc so started to have poached eggs (I work in an office that has an onsite restaurant so its really easy and quick). I have them with 2 slices of wholemeal toast but I want to step away from bread as well... any suggestions?
Is there anything other than eggs that is healthy and filling? I'm not a fan of fruit tbh...
I really struggle with breakfast but I find its important to eat well in the morning to get the metabolism started and start fuelling your body as well as staying fuller until lunch time to stay away from 'elevensies' snacks.

Yeah I choose to ignore the whole killing animals thing for food as if I think about it its quite upsetting but I love my meat.
Ignorance is bliss I guess.

depends if you believe in the food chain or not.
you could always leave the crab in the sea to get bitten in half by a shark ...

Breakfast
Berrocca
Yakhult
Fruit strawberries blueberries and raspberries banana Apple.
Love fruit but find it hard to eat breakie. Used to be black coffee and Marlboro for breakfast but am being much healthier - no cigs.
I see a few on here swim. I love it. I do 3 swims of 2k each per week. Two circuit sessions per week and at least one 10k run per week.
Fittest I've been in about 15 years (I'm 41 on Friday)

I'm loving swimming again. I used to swim a lot when I was younger (racing and life saving) and have started it again recently because my hip keeps coming out of it socket when I play football. It's been great to lose the weight I put on because of the injury and plus it's helping me with strengthen my hip again.
I've been going 10 times a week now (before and after work most days and Sunday for a double session) and I really look forward to it as it's a lot more fun than going to the gym for me.

its very good for you but its so much effort. I have a swimming pool in the complex were I live, along with a gym, and have used the pool twice ever
early morning swim would be an amazing routine to get into though

it is - I go every weekday morning at 6.30 am (when they open) and Sunday morning at 8am (when they open). I feel great throughout the day but later on in the afternoon the tiredness does kick in but when I go back for my second swim I feel great again afterwards.
my friend did ask me yesterday about all the effort going for a swim (getting changed showering etc which all takes time especially as I go twice a day) but I enjoy it so much that I don't even mind. He's a proper gym goer as well so he puts a lot of time and effort into his workouts and especially his eating habits.

I can only swim early once a week - got to take sprog to school most days. I am able to go during my lunch hour. I find it very good for mental wellbeing. I clear my mind, concentrating on technique, breathing and counting lengths only. A little bit of mindfulness during the day.
Ledley - double sessions are hardcore. I also did a lot of swimming when I was a kid including lifeguard and it definitely helps if you already have good technique.
Chronic - if you've got a pool where you live it's no effort at all - early morning swim is perfect - and does set you up for the day.
