Anyone played this before? And completed it?
I was going for the trophies and played it years ago when it came out....
But this game can seriously go fook itself, mainly for 3 reasons.
1. Catcher Chocobo
2. Chocobo race under renium temple
3. 200 lighting strikes
Fook me, I've literally almost thrown myself out my 3rd story window, it's driving me literally insane. I haven't been this plssed off with a game since playing Alundra on my ps1, but with some of those puzzles it requires skill!!!! This requires fooking luck based on shltty controller/screen movements and also where the balloons fall depending on the random placement of them!!!
Obviously if you haven't played it you won't have a clue what I'm going on about but if you have then I may have brought back nightmares

loved it amiga, my second favourite FF after 7. Loved the characters, the story, and at the time it was groundbreaking(first actual audio dialogue, graphics, new gen platform) was unreal. wakka

Started playing again last night, my favourite game of all time.
Catcher chocobo getting down to 0 sec can be a nightmare, need a combination of luck and just grinding the result. Focus on dodging all the birds more than getting balloons but obviously you need a few.
Chocobo race is pretty easy to hit 3 chests on the way, (which gets you 30 doors to tomorrow, using them with Rikku's mix means you beat any boss within minutes...) any more and you're struggling
200 lightning strikes, never bothered to commit in all my playthroughs. Best way is to get armour with no encounters (defeate Geosgaeno and 50% chance of drop, if you don't get reload the game) stops random encounters and can concentrate on the flashes.

Jeez must be one of your favourites, I cant remember all that, surely the game is 10 years old.
Is it worth getting HD

If you can pick it up at a reasonable price it's probably worth a revisit. I always end up switching to the old soundtrack anyway.
The HD isn't a massive jump in graphics just smoother textures and looks more polished. You get X-2 as well if you enjoyed that (not everyone did).

I'm building the sphere grid as we speak so will have to start farming spheres soon to completely fill it! My team is Wakka, Tidus and Auron atm

I bought it, played it for a couple of hours but couldn't really get into it. Maybe I was just a bit bored with JRPGs.
