Yes, it would be hard for most of us to pick Best and really mean it. I even had to think about Robson, who I've seen play, because I was only very young in the 80s.
Shame Beckham isn't in the top ten. He'd have been in my next five, I think. Absolutely brilliant from about 1996 to 2001.

Not many Ronaldo's, surprising.

If he'd stayed he would be on almost everyone's list.

Its always interesting to see what reality is against perception.
I think everyone would have expected Ronaldo in the top 3 but i suppose with him leaving after 6 seasons, just not long enough.
Im glad Robbo was up there. First saw him and United play aged 7 back in 1985. I was blown away

Of course this is a small scale survey, and we'll all have our own personal favourites. I started following Utd from the early 80s, and during that time Robson on so many occasions carried the team, but my favourite moment was Whiteside's FA Cup winning goal against the best team at the time (Everton) and the best goalie at the time (Nev Southall)

I'm sure I could easily name thirty or forty better and more important players than Berba. But it said favourite, not best players. And his first touch and control was sometimes the only bit of magic on display. I loved watching him.

I was always excited to see his name on the team sheet, certainly one of the most natural talents to bless OT, even if it didn't really work out.

For those of us that remember that goal, it brings back a certain type of nostalgia.

That goal by Whiteside for me was the greatest EVER moment I have witnessed as a Red. Truly magical. one man down, one nil up against probably the best team in Europe at the time.
