5 favourite United moments

(that didn't involve winning a trophy)

1) Sharpe's backheel against Barcelona 1994. Just brilliant.

2) Rooney's volley against Newcastle. A real WTF, Sky + moment

3) Evra's goal against Bayern. For a fleeting moment i thought we'd do it!

4) Andy Cole's 5 goals against Ipswich. People were beginning to doubt him but that 5 goal blast was amazing

5) Roma 7-1. Carrick's big night.

What were yours?

Brilliant Post!

- Robbo turning a 2-0 deficit vs Barcelona to a 3-2 agg win in 1984

- Solksjaer scoring a last minute winner vs L'pool in the FA Cup in 1999 (which got overshadowed by what he did vs the Germans later that year!)

- Comeback vs Spurs, when 3-0 down at half-time to win 5-3!

- Giggs's goal vs Arsenal. How could it not be there?

- Michael Owen's 4-3 winner vs City, when they'd equalised in injury time, only for us to score again!

How about LVG simulation of a dive in front a ref. during the match vs Arsenal?

Wasn't that one heck of a moment?

Ole's 4 against Notts Forest. As I recall, Yorke and Cole were both on 2 goals each and I was wondering who would get the hatrick first, then Ole came on and blew them both away.

I've tried to go for some other favourite moments that I remember fondly other than the ones that have been listed previously.

Strachan goal v Arsenal in Jan 1987. Nothing particulary special apart the game itself but it was the first goal I saw at OT

In the same year Peter Davenport scoring a last minute goal to beat Liverpool.

Mark Hughes' equaliser v Palace in 1990 Cup Final. I was 12 and I think I would have cried had we lost that game!

The 3-2 Juventus game in Autumn 1997. The game, IMO, where we started to believe we could compete against the real big boys in Europe.

Paul Scholes v Barca in 2008.

4-2 win against arsenal. Ronaldo brace and a cheeky lob from o'shea.

Solskjaer's winner vs Liverpool in fa cup at home in last minute in 99. I seriously lost my sh111t and ended up in row infront and fell on my face.

Roma at home. What a night. The Stretford end was rocking until it became a procession.

3-2 comeback win at Maine Road in 1993
4-2 win at Highbury in 2005
1-0 win at the Etihad in 2010 (Scholes's header)
2-1 win over Arsenal in FA Cup semi, 1999 (though that really led to three trophies!)
3-1 over Liverpool in about 1989/90 (Russell Beardsmore)

How could I forget the 3-2 comeback win at Villa in the FA Cup, 2002?
