Valid point made with a ham-fist

Having just read the article that has caused some heated exchanges of words, while I have not really delved into the attached comments (which I know will have descended into traded insults) Although the OP has shades of disrespect with regards to us being an 'tin-pot' club I still think he has posed a valid question.

There is no denying that our back 4 is made up of players who won't go onto bigger things, journeymen maybe but by no means are they hoofball. As for the rest of the side this can't be said. Drinkwater, Kante, Mahrez and Albrighton all still have their prime years ahead of them and pose a exciting future for our midfield. With regards to Vardy I would say that he probably has peaked this season and I would be surprised if he could hit the same heights in future seasons. (will happily be proved wrong on this). What this season has allowed for is a laying of a solid foundation with which to build a sustaining club on. No I don't expect us to be challenging for the title or even the top four every season but I certainly expect us be a team that isn't taken lightly by the opposition. With a solid recruitment team and a sound backroom staff everything is their for Leicester as a club to move forward in the right direction. Not even the most blinkered of fan can say they were expecting us to be challenging for the title or even the top 4.

I'm not to concerned about next season, at the moment I'm just enjoying what is going to be a fascinating end to what has been a wonderfully exciting season. This I think both ourselves and Spurs can agree. Whoever is top come the end I will applaud and say well done you deserve it. People may say it's been a poor Premier league season but what this season has done is going to cause the 'big clubs' to seriously refocus their efforts as I think they've all got far to complacent. They will all be much stronger next year and hopefully we can become the powerhouse of European football again.

My thoughts on Tottenham. I think if it hadn't of been for us, this season would have been yours. You like us have built a solid foundation with good coaching and some excellent recruitment. (particularly the manager) I still think you are a work in progress but I for one would be very happy with the direction you are going, plus you can have one over your red mates down the road (so far anyway). Can I just say on Harry Kane, the gormless mouth breather, What a fantastic player he is going to be for club and country. I loath him for his time at our club and never saw him fulfilling his potential but I will hold my hands up and say he is certainly doing the business. You don't score 20+ goals in two consecutive seasons without being a top player (Not world class. Yet) He's got to win us the Euros first

Here's to what is going to be the most interesting and exciting last 7 games to season there has been and there's no need for squabbling we are all here because we love football.

As an aside to this: Johan Cruyff has died.

That's sad news, though from the reaction on here, most posters don't seem to know/remember what a fantastic player he was.

That's right Vulpesy. That Netherlands side from the 1972-74 era was just brilliant and neutrals wanted them to win the 1974 World Cup Final. What a tense match that was.

I wish more Spurs fans were like you but unfortunately they're not! I would be willing you to win it if it wasn't for the pure disrespect and arrogance the majority of your board have displayed this season.

I came in peace at the start of the season but that quickly changed when I was called deluded and "assured" Leicester couldn't challenge Spurs. Our club was slagged off and our players mocked and numerous articles created to slag me off for suggesting we could challenge. Very poor show and it gives the rest of you a bad name!

Name and shame who said the above arro, of course not only will you have to name them but you will also have to copy in their posts showing they actually said what you say they did.

Nobody started on you until you yourself started being arrogant and insulting.

You claim you are a man & yet as soon as anyone stands up to you and gives you the same stick back, you start crying leave me alone & then filter people.

If you can't take it, then don't hand it out!

Worth 5 star for the post and content, nearest thing to how things between our clubs should be discussed.

Johan was a quality player and part of a great dutch team. Tributes on here are sincere and a refreshing conclusion to a united forum when football is our true appreciation.

Cruyff was also a heavy chain smoker, getting through 60-80 a day!

Very sad to hear about JC, I used to wear number 14 in my younger days because he wore that number. Truly one of the worlds greatest ever players.

Remember watching Barcelone when he was manager there, never saw him on the bench/touchline without a ciggy in his mouth.
Great, great player ... and I reserve the word GREAT for those one in a decade players. The word has become meaningless these days when all sorts of bang average players are called great.
