Good coach, too big a job for him though this is.
The job of rebuilding is a job for an experienced manager.
Still no news on Remi, still cannot see him lasting the international break.
Interesting rumour regarding Dan Ashworth, as Head of Football Operations, very highly regarded.
Not sure whether Ashworth was at WBA when Pearson was there.

Think Gary Monk is a good manager. The main problem at Swans is the owner not investing last summer, for which Monk was made the scapegoat; they had no replacement for Bony. They really shouldn't have beaten us a few days ago. Also, I think some of their players have caught a bit of our disease, and become complacent; think they'll find it tough next season.
However, don't think Monk is right for us. Too big a job. Players do respond to a manager's "status", which is one reason why if we change Moyes would be a good shout.

Spot on.
Status matters.
Monk would be totally unsuitable. Villa need a manager with a name.
