Top of the league.
Transfer window shut with Greegsy, Davis and Jela on board with seven new signings. My favourites are Big Bartley who reminds me of Butcher, and Goian who is just class, like a composed Davie McPherson!
All set for 4iar and a crack at the CL next season. I hope Ness, McMillan and Perry develop into regulars.
Lets not get dragged into the Liewell sideshow deflection over at the league of nations eleven; somehow he is able to have the whole media talking of anything but the league table year after year. Really earned his money but focus focus focus on the task in hand bears. Support the team and we will be absolutely fine with Superally in charge. Hopefully Big Carlos Cuellar will be here in January.
Feels good to be a bear!
What a good week for the Gers

No disrespect mate but the difference this year is you don't have the master Walter Smith, Coisty hasn't had the backing that Coisty was hoping for
Yes you are top but like I said you have Dundee Utd then us but we will see as Coisty firstbold firm game in charge and if he loses that then pressure I am sure will build

Well said on the need to focus on the games coming up,but I feel we could and should have bought to cover the again injured Lafferty for example.......he is not playing for NI v Serbia tomorrow at Windsor.
I felt the Jelly stuff was to keep Bears happy to an extent,as we had not bought and were supposed to be glad we kept him. That was taken as read until 2 days ago.

The first old firm will be a true test and I hope it is a good one.Not sure if you wish to comment, but what is your view on the Lawwell comments? Some Celts appear happy at his mocking digs and are winding Bears up,but if a Rangers official had mocked Celtic, for whatever reason, how would you or the bhoys feel?
Mocking or winding up the other side in the old firm is not really wise, especially after last years madness?

To be honest mate I think its pathetic we don't want another season like the last one so we need bothnhalf of the old firm managers and the board to act responsible.
To be honest he loves to talk but never backs it up ....that's me talking about signings over the years he has not supported our managers with the funds and to be honest I have never liked the guy
With that idiot getting off scot free with the attack on Lennon is mocking Scotland again so like I said at the start of the season can we just keep it to football this year and try and build the Scottish reputation back up
That my opinion

Cheers for your thoughts mate.
The Hearts nutter is still in prison and it may have been the prosecutions emphasis on the religous hate aspect of the assault that swayed the jury,as Lennon and Thompson heard no sectarian abuse from him.The nutter admitted assault,so he will be and has been punished, and is not getting off scot free Jinky. The law can be an ass at times, just watch Law and Order SVU.
Bring on the football and better times for all in Europe.
Keep the Bears v Bhoys civil and hate free too and we will have more fun and less violence.

The prosecution ballsed up big time. They were so intent on getting the "Assault cause by Religious Prejudice" conviction, which was pretty much impossible to conclude 100%, they turned down a bargain plea where Wilson plead guilty to assault, which was very easy to prove. Now Wilson will get off fairly lightly with a breach of the peace.

Spot on.The media here in Belfast are reporting that the Hearts guy got off with straightforward assault, while showing the assault, thus implying the jury were anti-Celtic.Why let the truth or legal complexity get in the way of a good old stir the pot story?
Yet again, the media have questions to answer.

Unfortunately for the prosecution, I think they were under intense scrutiny from the government, media and public to hammer Wilson on sectarian grounds when in a straight up Court of Law there was no way that aspect could be proven.
In order to commit a crime there must also be a "mental" aspect of intent as well as the action itself (except in things like culpable homicide where its slightly different but lets not muddy the waters!) This case is straight forward to explain due to the charge "Assault caused by Religious Prejudice."
Action is the assault. Unquestionable.
Mental aspect is religious prejudice. Cannot be definitely proven.
