Mae ei ddiwrnod oer yma yn y Dwyrain Canolbarth Lloegr a Derby yn paratoi i chwarae Gaerdydd yn ein un gÃĒm ryngwladol y tymor.
So, stuck here over the border in a hilly place, trying to find a connection (this account is being 'noted' before being copied).......Cardiff v Derby at Ninian Park* or something in the principality which incidentally I'm stuck in.....on the side of a cold windy, rainy mountain.
Derby come into this one on - yet another - wave of feel good optimism. Trouble is, our optimism is rarely matched by the performance. Here's hoping. Cardiff harbouring ambitions of their own, usually do well against Derby At the *City of Cardiff stadium. Today, I feel is another, yet another watershed meeting in Derby's season.
Sorry, but I will not have a clue what is going on, so I will return from whatever godforsaken mountain to discover how it has played out. Keep it going with your normal professional aplomb

We still could go up stranger things have happened, Forest technically could still avoid the drop. Something would have to change either structurally or in the psyche of the players though.
If we do stay down though I think we'll find a lot of players looking to leave and a lot of deadwood to clear out again. Don't think we'll be starting from scratch and it might be no bad thing, but can't see the nucleus staying for another year of under achievement.

Good luck with that if some of the players that you consider deadwood are on big wages and long contracts. It is a problem that can take a couple of seasons to sort out.

The only player from the 1st team squad we could get rid off easily is Buxton, all the others are tied down to long contracts.
Local owners putting in £m's doesn't always work, the squad from 2 years ago was in much better shape

Not that bad, that I'd have Clough back. I'm really hoping Burton don't get promoted
