I think most people would agree that the team selection against Oldham was wrong, and it was undoubtedly way out for Millwall. The shrewd thing to do
in my opinion was to treat the Millwall game as the key one but to treat those two matches together as one task, and to use fresh legs, where possible for the Oldham game, and give the opportunity for these fresh legs to possibly hold onto their places for the Millwall game. The rest would have
been good for Mousinho, Edwards, McCrory, Beavon, Butcher, Naylor and
Duffy . ( It woud not be possible to rest all of these, but I would certainly have gone for a minimum of 4 of these, plus more being pulled off in the second half when subbed.
It was essential to play Robbie Weir and Shane Cansdell-Sherriff in the
Oldham game and all things being equal they would have retained their
places for the MIllwall game. I believe we would have won both games, and we would have been giving match time to "fresh legs" which is realy part of Squad Rotation.
My team for today would be:
McClaughlin
O'Connor Mousinho Cansdell-Sherriff Reilly
Weir
Harness Butcher Atkins
Beavon Bennett
With the aim to sub Beavon, Butcher and Mousinho , dependent on the
circumstances.
For the first time , I think our Manager got it wrong, but saw more positives
in the performances than most the fans did, and he reacted in the way he has sometimes done in the past and sulkily stuck to an indefensible decision. He's got to pick the right team today for 3 points.
with more aggression and hard work ' from the off''
better use of set plays and corners
more pleasures up there to support Beavon
be more direct and go for goal rather than elaborate moves near the corner flag and down the wing.
If Plan A doesn't work , lets see that we have an alternative Plan B or C.
Lets not argue with the referee. Lets not give away stupid free kicks
Lets all get behind the Brewers and cheer them onto a big victory this afternoon.
Its been a great seasonand it would be a shame to throw it away when we
are so close.
Ready to leave for the Pirelli now
C'mon you Brewers. Destiny awaits!!!

The problem is that Bennett is no where near in the same class as Beavon.
The new lad Tyler Walker needs to be up with Beavon.
Goals win games.
Our corners and set pieces are poor. We need a player who can put in a good cross. The only one I can think of is Matty Palmer ( on loan ) is the best we have.
Back to basics for me and play to our strengths.
The defence has got us where we are,
with loads of 1-0 results.
If our defence can do a job on their striker Madden, we stand a good job of winning this one.
