Favourite moments in movies you've loved?

Hollywood movies and ok we’ll accept the Sharon stone interrogation moment if somebody absolutely must lower the tone

Mine are Back to the Future. When Marty McFly sees that instead of being together out of habit, his parents are very much in love and his Dad has a successful career instead of being Biff’s inferior.

Back to the Future part 3. Doc and Marty’s role reversal:-

Marty “Great Scott"
Doc “Yeah it’s heavy"

Lord of the Rings The Two Towers. Gimli and Aragorn looking at about 1000 bad guys.

Gimli “C’mon c’mon, we can take them" Always puts me in mind of a Friday night in Glasgow.

Air Force One: The President telling the bad guy where to go

“Get off my plane"

And finally from my favourite film ever, It’s a Wonderful life. The whole part from when Burt the cop approaches George on the bridge and shows that he knows him right to the end scene. Particularly when it dawns on George that cos he’s back his brother didn’t drown in the icy water.

My fave scene in Battle of Britain is when the British diplomat tells the German equivalent where to go....
--------------------------------------------------
Flash, isn't there a bit when the same German diplomat says words to the effect of they could walk into London anytime that they want.

and the Brit retorts with "So what's stopping you then!"

That's what I admired about Churchill, even when it was coming on top, he would still tell superior opposition to fack off. Game little fella.

Yes Summer, about 3:56 in this clip though it appears edited slightly.

I remember the first time I watched this film, I was about 7 or 8 and drove my dad mad complaining about the Messerschmitts and Hienkels in the film, I said they weren't real because they looked wrong and I couldn;t accept them, I was frustrated because he couldn;t tell me why. I knew they were similar as I knew the various models, how to tell an Emil from a Gustav for example but these were like none of the models I knew.

It wasn't until many years later when I was parascending at an old Raf base in the Cotswolds I saw one of the planes by the tower. I tracked down the pilot and had a chat to find these were actuallt Messerschmitts with Merlin enignes used by the spanish airforce after the war, same as the Hienkels. Because of the Merlin engines the nose had to be modified, that was the source of my consternation.

My fave scene in Battle of Britain is when the British diplomat tells the German equivalent where to go....

".....We're not easily frightened. Also we know how hard it is for an army to cross the Channel. The last little Corporal who tried came a cropper. So don't threaten or dictate to us until you're marching up Whitehall... and even then we won't listen."

In.............Any Which Way You Can

I love the scene where Clint has just punched the Limo Window...... You think he might get bollocked for smashing the window from a cost point of view.............instead............

"You damned fool, let me see that hand, wiggle your fingers, you could have broke that hand and made paupers outta all of us............"

I bought the 2 for 4.99 on Amazon. The actor who bollocked Clint in the scene i love, was Barry Corbin i believe. He was also the Warden in one of my favourite films ever.

Richard Pryor giving it "I'm getting Bad......"
