Do you know what this site needs more of? Financial analysis. I mean, when have we ever actually looked at a clubs finances in detail?
I'm sure any Arabs looking on will have seen this already, but I'll post it anyway. Someone (and I have no idea who this person is and what his credentials are) has done a fairly extensive review of United's financial position over the last few years and it has been pretty damning reading for anyone who still retains faith that Stephen Thompson has been acting in the best interests of the club.

It's a long read, but a worthwhile read. It's pretty clear that Thompson has not, as he has long claimed, put the interests of the club first but has in fact put his own interests first. Loan notes with 6% interest (when the bank debt interest was half that), interest free loans were repaid to Thompson and his mother first before tackling these loan notes, and we started paying the loan notes a year earlier than first planned for apparently no reason.
It really is difficult to see Thompson as anything other than a negative on the club at this moment in time and I think we have to hope that someone else comes forward and takes the club off his hands.

Dave, incredible waste of money and difficult to understand how it was allowed to happen. Surely they do checks not just on ability but personality too?

" While it is normal for a club like Dundee to raise young players and sell them with a profit, these kind of sales are bound to reflect on results."
All credibility of the article was gone with that statement.
