Football in the 1970's was amazing due to standing in stands. Huge crowds from Sheffield Wed, Derby, Liverpool etc etc. But in Glasgow we had the 3 biggest stadiums in the world to watch football. 126K at Ibrox 149k at Hampden and 115K at Celtic Park. Crazy times.

Do you hanker for the standing up ? Don't know if any of the top grounds will ever have standing areas in England. Can't see it ever happening at Hillsborough. I wouldn't want to see it tbh. Respect for the 96

We also had 2 stadium disasters at Ibrox.
In 1971 66 fans died at our stadium due to fans leaving the stadium during an Old firm game when we were losing. Rangers scored to equalise and fans rushed back in and metal barriers twisted in the crush and 66 died, my Dad was at that game and in 1902 25 fans died as a stand collapsed.

So we have a connection with Liverpool and every year Liverpool send flowers to our club to commemorate our fans who lost their lives and we do them.

German safe standing is the way forward. It's safe.

I will - I am aware of them, but not in great detail.

Bradford was the other bad one with the fire.

I want to see German safe standing as fans cannot rush forward as they are separated by barriers. It would happen in a bad way again.
