To go to that stadium and leave with a draw is a great result. Liverpool are as inconsistent as they come in terms of results of late while Dortmund are having a sensational season especially recently.
Beautiful start to the game as well with YNWA sang by both sets of supporters.
It was an interesting game to watch as both teams played very similar styles of football. Dortmund had the edge overall which you would expect when playing at home.
I am encouraged though that we took at least one of our chances and kept Dortmund at bay other than Hummels' thumping header.
I wonder how Henderson will be, seemed to be a heel thing from what I saw.
Good performance all round today and the lads did what needed to be done.
Good evening, chaps.

When watching Liverpool tonight did anybody else feel like this was a very Liverpool display with Rafa. For so many seasons we played like this away from home. Kept it tight at the back and nick a goal and play well at home for the 2nd leg.

I've had a Spurs fan giving it large about how we would fare so much worst than Spurs all week at work!

Under Rodgers we would have been smashed in that game.
Klopp is a proper European manager though, and it showed tonight. Very proud of that performance.

I wish people would quit with the Rodgers digs. They're chalk and cheese appointments. Rodgers was hired as the unfinished article, with the hope he would develop into the role. Klopp is already vastly experienced in comparison.
Just let him go

I don't see how that's a dig to be fair. Its just another comment on a forum, an accurate one too IMO. Its true about the chalk and cheese but that doesn't mean that making the comparison on a discussion forum is necessarily a dig.

I think they'll have to beat us at Anfield to go through. They are better than us though and they will feel they can win. Anything like a draw above 2-2 and we are out too. Do away goals count before or after extra time?

Decent away performance. Looks comfortable. Your best players by far were Lovren and Origi.

After extra time I think?
So slight advantage to them in that.
It's likely they will score at Anfield, but I think we will score too.
I think it will be a similar game again with them having the ball and us playing on the break.
We just need to take our chances and not make any Fernando-like errors.

away goals count on 90mins and 120mins if needed
1-1 is a score that allows extra time.
we need ot make sure we win thats all. same as always
