Sheffield Utd's manager said yesterday that they thought the deals should have gone through and were still trying to sort out the paperwork with the English authorities. I'm doubtful that they can do that now, but we'll see.

Personally, I can't believe we were even considering allowing them to go on loan...

Everyone agrees we have a threadbare squad last year....yet this season we've actually REDUCED our numbers, and are still whittling down the available players by punting them out on loan...

I gave Whyte until the end of the transfer window to pass judgement, after all the uproar about dealings and wheeling about without seeming to get much done.
I have to admit I've not been particularly impressed.

We've probably got a weaker squad than we had at this point last year, and that's primarily because Miller was banging them in, and we failed to land a striker despite apparently making attempts to sign several different strikers...or was all this a smokescreen?

Disappointed anyway and not of the opinion that things are that much better.
