More disappointed who's finished above us..

Preface: Sorry I know it's long 'un but I havent been so active this season so i guess this is an accumulated stream of consciousness about the season as a whole. With that in mind, Please dont call me fickle or exagerating because of one result. I will probably delete such comments. Id like to have an interesting discussion about the state of the club.

More than anything Im annoyed that spurs are going to finish above us and a team of arcadians (brave amateurs) are going to win the league... I mean their captain played for Nottingham Forest. I really admire leicester for their achievements and if they win the league it'll be because theyve been the best team this season by a country mile.

HOWEVER, I really feel it is inexcusable that theyve walked it vs our current team who are internationally experienced for the most part and on exorbitant wages.

At this moment I dont know who is to blame... The english portion of our team really arent pulling their weight anymore and at times are a hindrance to our play. Ramsey has failed to adapt to the wing or the centre of the park, only really playing to what we know is his level when played in Ozil's position. When is that going to happen again barring injuries/transfer? He just doesnt provide the central balance we need and have needed since Gilberto left.

Walcott has stagnated for two seasons now not counting his injury. He is far too limited as a player upfront and clearly gets bored of playing on the wing after a year and demands a new contract being promised he'll be upfront then back on to the wing once his initial goal spell (sometimes this doesnt even happen) dries up.

He should be sold while his legs are still there and an efficient winger like Mahrez should be bought who can beat a man like sanchez but also deliver an excellent cross. Two things Theo cannot do... will never do.

If all it took to be a good footballer was finishing and pace, there would be dozens of our old school friends who played to a decent amateur league level playing in the top leagues of europe. Unfortunately these guys didnt always have innate game sense as Im sure you all agree unless my personal experience is unusual. This is what makes a good footballer, game sense of the bigger picture not just fulfilling your individual role (which theo thinks is waiting for the perfect through ball to run onto in the hope that an opposition are daft enough after all these years to play a high enough line theo can exploit. It just doesnt happen anymore and it only happened on occasion when it did!

The manager of course receives a lot of the blame too... For me that matter alone merits an entire new article twice as long as this one but I'll leave it there. Thanks for reading

Yes, at £140k a week Walcott should clearly be sold - did you see the crosses he put in today when he came on ? Just embarrassing
Apart from the odd flash in the pan he's got nothing but Liverpool might be stupid enough to buy him.

Thanks for the comment, I agree. I just feel like his style is too far removed from Giroud that the team cannot adapt to him at short notice which means that Theo looks terrible when we see him upfront, where he thinks he belongs, and so the cycle repeats itself whenever our handsome bassa of a frenchman gets a rare knock.

As for Ramsey's position, I like Elneny's economy so far. He's not flashy and if we are to win anything significant with him at the helm, We would need to surround him with better defenders who can make up for anytime a worldie leaves him for dead. Id like to see Mertesacker leave and live out his days for boyhood club. So someone close to his stature to compliment Kosc/Gab would be nice... I never want to see Kosc/ Gab partnering. It's inexcusable of any top team to have two identical defenders. They get in each others way as we used to see with Vermaelen and Kos and Gallas and Vermaelen and it's just too infuriating watching our at times magical attacking play and goalscoring potential be undermined by a severely lacking transfer policy by our Manager.

Let's not be coy, you bottled it big time today, but I still believe you'll finish above spurs

Hopefully Leicester will only pick up 2 points in there last 6 games and then the title is coming where it belongs baby. How on earth has this Arsenal side pulled off this miraculous title? Unbelievable Geoff!
