Pupils face 'on-screen' times tables tests

I would have loved this as I used to do up to 12x12 when I was 6 or 7 very quick like in 3 minutes mainly around 2 mins 40 seconds. I used to do 10x10 grids in 1min 51 seconds when I was younger and would have beaten it if teacher didn't go out with stopwatch when I had finished. He came back a minute later and no one else had finished and said I wouldn't have beaten it but I nailed it. I think I did a 1 min 44 seconds or something like that going by gut feeling as everything went perfectly. I never tried since those days to do these tables again. I wonder if I could beat it now. Remember watching child genius program and the stuff they were doing I used to do when I was 6 or 7 4x faster

I used to be guaranteed a win though I think I was undefeated in 10x10 grid tests. Anyway I would have loved a 12x12 grid test.

BTW it will be interesting to see what times students of today do. I guess clever students clock under 3 mins but most average 4-6 minutes for 12x12 grid.

Just had a go at this did it in 24 seconds with laptop number keys only at top with no number pad and did it with 9min 36secs left. 28 questions in just under 25 seconds, not bad. I still got it.
