Baffled with this one. Wonder what any other top manager thinks of this decision? Bizarre.

He played Young at cf for 90 minutes for the u21s on Monday night so it wasn't a desperate, spur of the moment act. Somewhere within the inexplicable mechanisms of his mind made him think it was a sensible move to make

Manager needs to go. I think the club are waiting to see what happens on Wednesday.

cant believe that a club like Man United are waiting to be knocked out of the only trophy available to them before they will deal with their hapless manager.

What it says is that no matter what happens on the pitch in any shape or form...vG is safe as the manager and that he is expected to see out his contract.

vG will not be sacked by Ed and his people no matter what happens. It is up to the weasel himself to walk if he wants to end the relationship. And as is proven so far VG has no integrity whatsoever and is quite happy to see the club reduce itself to an also ran under his stewardship whilst at the same time pi55 millions up the wall ir ridiculous and totally unjustified transfer fees.

and I have been saying this since Christmas on a regular basis..and I stick with it.

Me too. Sadly our club seem to value money over ambition.

GE wont walk, ever IMO. Nobody gives up millions of pounds just like that. You'll have to sack him.
