Afternoon all

Earlier this afternoon A.J made a prediction for next season.........

Man City, Liverpool and Spurs would fight it out for glory and all the rest including Chels , Ars , United would fight it out for 4th

So is he a Genius or a fruit loop

Spurs will be the team they all have to beat next season, the rest are all much of a muchness. Even teams like West ham and Southampton have as a good a chance of Top Four as teams like United and Liverpool. Arsenal usually sneak in, so we know that is one of the other top four places. City may improve under Guardiola, but are a long way from being title contenders again, their defence is shocking. Leicester surely will not replicate this season ever again will they? Chelsea are a busted flush now, Abramovich is showing signs of boredom, and is unlikely to be flashing the cash like he did when he first came.

By the way Klopp is a very good manager hoody I'm not denying that. I just think he's got his work cut out this summer, just my opinion

City will definitely improve under Pep. I doubt they'll become an all-conquering force in just one summer, but they'll definitely get better. They're favourites for the title next season in my view with their resources, manager-to-be and existing good players.

Behind City though, there's a lot of teams that are hard to separate. I'd put Spurs and Arsenal (in that order) above Chelsea, United and Liverpool though, with West Ham a bit below them.

But then, no-one in a million years would've predicted Leicester's rise this time last year, so who knows. Maybe Bournemouth or Swansea will surge to the title in 16/17 and the previous top 4 will fall to pieces with Spurs finishing 10th and Arsenal 19th

Spurs are very lucky, that they have their team in place right now. The other all need to rebuild, some seriously, and I just do not see the players around right now that is going to be available of the quality they are all looking for. Spurs have been great in their ability to pick up young players for next to nothing like Dier and Ali, who have been absolutely immense, and will any of the top clubs pick up a players like Toby, Dembele or Erikssen for the price Spurs paid. Plus Kane coming through ranks was like winning the Lottery.

That's fair Sandy but there's no reason to suspect that ALL the other teams will fail to buy well. And when money is no object, players tend to become available even if they weren't before...

I'm predicting nothing! Nobody in their right mind would've predicted Leicester as 2016 Premier League champions before the start of the season!
