Assuming that Sunderland and Newcastle join the relegated Villa, are there any decent players we can grab from these teams?
Villa
No player stands out really. Stay well clear of the overrated Grealish
Newcastle
Wijnaldum had a good first half of season and would be a good addition. Also like the look of Janmaat, maybe he can replace Debuchy. Aarons has previously been linked to us and Mbemba is a good prospect.
Sunderland
Big fan of Defoe and I think he can be a good player to have for rotation.
Who would you have?.
Potential signings from relegated teams

Genuinely think Defoe would be a good back up. Always full of goals and actually shoots on sight

Newcastle - Mbemba did look half decent, but that may have been comparitively speaking. Only 21 as well. Not sure if he is the sort of CB we need though.
Wijnaldum has been up and down - the sort of player who turns up when he wants which is not often enough.
Ayoze Perez has some talent, but again very inconsitent.
Janmaat seems depressed, prefers to kick opponents than the ball and often looks disinterested. Definitely a talented RB though.

Mvilla doesnt look a bad player, was being discussed a couple of years ago as a very good player.

Apart from names already mentioned, M'vila, Khazri, Lens, Watmore, Shelvey, Sissoko, Mitrovic, Lascelles, Ayew, Adama, Okore, Amavi are all decent, plus Idrissa Gueye for Villa is meant to be one of their few shining lights.
Newcastle also still have Thauvin and Cabella on loan

Don't think Defoe would join Arsenal.

Agree that Shelvey, Sissoko and Wijnaldum are too good for the Championship IMO but I wouldn't want any of them.
Tim Krul is good enough for most EPL squads, even if it's back up.
Kirchoff has looked good when I've seen him but again, would necessarily want to sign him. M'Villa a loan isn't he?
van Aanholt looks really promising. If I had to go for one, he'd probably be it.

Amavi looked very good pre-injury - as DJ says. He was linked with a lot of top clubs before his surprise signing for Villa, so if injury hasn't ruined him, he could potentially be a good back-up/potential long-term replacement for Monreal.
I think Adama Traore is a huge talent - literally might be the quickest footballer I've ever seen, and he seems to have the strength and skill to match. Quite green, but could be a good ace up the sleeve to potentially change the game, and long-term, I genuinely believe could be a world-class player.
At Sunderland, I agree that M'Vila and Kirchoff both look like good potential squad players, as does Khazri (although we're a bit overstocked with AMs atm!).
And Newcastle have a very talented squad as well - a few players worth looking at, but I think they've all been mentioned.
