I feel that I am slowly losing interest in football. I do not understand why, as it comes at a very exciting time for Spurs, and we are the best I can ever remember us being.
But my general interest in football is just diminishing by the week it seems. I don't even watch match of the day any more, I used to always record it and watch all the games, now I am lucky if I make it through the spurs highlights and debrief without pausing it to go and do something else.
I used to always look forward to watching champions league games, whether spurs were in the competition or not, and now I just don't.
Maybe its because I am getting a bit older and have realised that football isn't everything, or maybe its a general feeling about the way football is run that's making me lose interest.
But even the last couple of seasons when we were a worse side than we are now, I was far more into it.
Just wondered if anyone else is finding this? Or if anyone went through that little phase.
A title challenge for much of the season should have had me bouncing about, and even though I will always follow spurs closely, my interest in the whole sport has just fallen dramatically and I cannot put my finger on it.
the days where I queued up for 17 hours overnight on Tottenham high road to get tickets for the real Madrid home champions league game are long gone.
thoughts?

Don, I am with you I live, eat and breathe Spurs, have done for sixty years now. I have lots of interests outside of football though, but Spurs are an absolute passion. I rarely watch a lot of other football though these days, I think the saturation thing has done it. I do glance at games, but rarely watch more than a few minutes, although I have been forced to watch Leicester more recently as they are our rivals for the title. Hopefully next season I won`t have to watch that dross.
Back when I first started watching football, there was no TV footie or very little, so when it came on I used to lap it up, but now I can take or leave match of the day, just record it, and watch the Spurs game. CL not the least bit interested in, but obviously if Spurs are in it next season, I will be watching them. May glance at the game tomorrow night between West Ham and United, but will probably flick between channels if anything better is on.
I love watching Spurs, and have not missed a minute this season, whether at WHL, or on BT or SKY or through a stream on my computer, my weekends are usually dictated around when Spurs play. Most Spurs supporters I know are not quite as fanatical as me, but they do still talk Spurs, like me 24/7. Nothing wrong with that is there.
Basically I am only interested in Spurs, and probably like most fans of all clubs, only want really to watch your own team play.
Not sure how Chronic can fall out of love with football though, he is still a teenage.
