When you're alone (at the bottom of the table) and your team is going down, you can always go, "lol Hibs".
On the 7th of February 2016, Hibs made an impressive late comeback from 2-0 down against Hearts in the Scottish Cup, prompting their manager to state that Hibs' reputation as bottlers was out of date.
Since that game, Hibs have played 9 league games and only won 1. They lost the League Cup final to a 90th minute winner and have gone from 6 points off the top of the Championship table (with a game in hand) to 19 points behind, slipping to third place. I wonder if Stubbs is regretting his choice of words.
However their bottle seems to have held together in the Scottish Cup, having won replays against Premiership teams Hearts and ICT. Their next opponents are Dundee United, whose current lack of bottle is a match for Hibs'. This is all set up for one of those bizzare games where two terrible teams meet and it ends up in a stunning 4-3 thriller... or an awful 1-0 poofest settled by an own-goal.
As an aside, the last time Hibs won the Scottish Cup pre-dates the Wright brothers' first flight and there are only 11 people left on Earth who were alive at the time. To the best of my knowledge, none of them are Hibs fans.

It's as if they've done an Arsenal. Shown so much promise early season and then at the turn of the year it all goes to shiite
Can't see them making it up in the play-offs. Falkirk got to be the favourites on the form they are on.

2-0 up with 5mins to go and a man advantage.
That's a proper Hibsy effort

i liked it when hearts got relegated and hibs fans were gloating about it, only for them to then go down in the playoffs.

2-0 up, opponents and would be rivals for promotion down to 10 men hibs
Pie and bovril tweeted about the game at 2-0 and a man advantage saying fortunately for Falkirk, they are playing the only team in the world that could fvck this up

Didn't Hibs have a relegation party for Hearts in that season?
And then it turned out to be the start of their relegation party?
Hibs genuinely make me feel better about supporting United at the moment.
They'll probably still beat us on Saturday though.

Would rather face your mob in the final.
Not because I think you are wore, just bored of the cabbage.
Something ironic about beating you in a cup final as we swap places too
You'll notice I already have both the semi and final won

Admin, I'm having issues posting from my office. Is there issues with static IP addresses?
When I click post I get an error connection lost message... clicking back I can go back to edit my post and it normally then posts on the 2nd/3rd attempt... anything I can do to stop that?
Using chrome by the way, no packet drops at my end according to the tracer

Good point.
Wouldn't grudge you a victory to be honest, you won't get to face us for years
