rev - nobody is saying 'big bad pete'. I just think he was naive to get suckered into nothing more than speculation thru unnamed sources. He should know how the press work, surely? You could even understand him responding to the bait if it was about celtic, but it was about rangers. Odd!

Pete said there was 'lots' of interest in his 'star' players.... but that Celtic managed to keep hold of them.


i.e. nobody rated them anywhere near what Celtic say they are worth.

Come on. The guy made a joke. Nothing "naive" about it. If you can't make a joke without some Rangers fans wanting to insult and bark at him then there's a problem there, and it isn't Pete's.
