So Villa have cancelled their end of the season awards. So we won't get to find out who our 'player' of the season was. When my wife heard this, she laughed. I really feel like suing AVFC for the emotional damage and loss of credibility they have caused me this season!!
I would have gone for Gabby for POTY at the awards, as he sure was 'playin' in Dubai!

Think the toxic atmosphere has to stop, for the good of the club. A number of these players would do OK in a decent team. It's not their fault that the squad is imbalanced, the senior pros have forgotten that it's the opposition net the ball is supposed to end up in, and the same senior pros can't be bothered to train up to the level required. Roll on the end of the season and a fresh start.

Yep roll on MCP.
With Lerner still in charge will probably get even messier why cant three of us share a Euromililons super rollover and get him out
Player of the year prob Ayew but he will be gone. Mind you he hasnt been that outstanding.
We could have gone down Saturday, will do this week and still Lerner hides in the Big Apple.

What gets me is that against MU I KNOW that we'll be set up to "hold out as long as possible" You can't play football like that, at any level. MU aren't great at the moment and the only way to approach them is to attack. When we step onto the pitch we don't think of attacking; we save it for the second half. Maybe. We ought to try scoring in the first minute The players get a lot of stick, but they're not responsible for how they're set up. I can see Garde not wishing to throw the game away to easily, and for the first few matches this year he was getting some decent results. But now we're down we don't have to worry about throwing matches away; let's go on the offensive.

Guzan should get most mistakes in a season.

It is a shame they canceled the awards.
History will never truly appreciate the effort of some of the players and this is borne out in history.
For example:
Poor Pontius Pilate's family and descendants are still miffed that he never got the recognition he deserved for being such a successful provincial administrator of the Roman Empire because the Provincial Administrator of the Year Awards were canceled due to bad performances of the Roman Armies in Gaul...
