I seem to recall that many years ago the first cup game was in with our season ticket - I don't suppose it was free, it was probably just built into the cost of the season ticket, I imagine it was stripped out by a previous regime trying to make an increase in the cost of a ST look more palatable.
I would like to see a return to that system, but in all cup competitions, yes it will make the ST more expensive, but doesn't the ST holders deserve this acknowledgement of commitment, of course you get first priority on your own seat, except in L1, but you have to know about the ticket deadline and purchase it or it gets sold
Cup Games

Difficult to put a cup match in a ST as you're not guaranteed to play a cup game at home but as we've got 3 guaranteed CL home games then there maybe a option to include CL games on season tickets next season - for an extra fee of course

It did not matter sometimes it was Leasgue cup or FA cup always seemed to get a match

I hope that with champions lge games being mid week that these matches will be fully open
No preference to anyone and tokened so those attending all the group matches get priority for knockout stages

Surely you are not suggesting that someone who has bought a seat as part of a season ticket should have to enter into a lottery to get that seat for a CL match

Thats how it worked years ago in cup matches your season ticket gave priority sale not seat,
Yes champions league tickets should be fully open,
do you see 32000 turning up on a Tuesday evening v some lower European side?
Why not open up for the folks like me that can only afford 2 games a year or work weekends,
Maybe not next season but when European football becomes regular,,
Another option allocate 5000 non-member tickets?

Not going to happen if i buy a season ticket during the bad times i expect to get priority during the good times. Do you think us loyal supporters are not going to go to every CL we can then you are mistaken.
As with every cup game if we don't buy a ticket you are welcome to buy my seat.

Now what about the loyal supporters who can't afford season tickets?
Because what your stating is because I have to live below minimum wage and can't afford a season ticket to attend every game,
I'm not allowed to go games?
How do I get my children to a few games a seasons so they will become the supporters of the future?

Sorry Dublin, but life isn't always fair - I'd love a Range Rover Overfinch, but can't afford one, I genuinely feel for you that you can't afford ST's for your family, but that doesn't change the fact that its right that ST holders get first dibs on their seats for cup games
