Man United Trio For Sunderland?

So I hear that Sunderland have made offers for three Man Utd players; Wes Brown, John O'Shea and Darron Gibson...

Good move for Sunderland?
Good move for United?
Good move for the players?

Personally, I would be surprised if O'Shea were to go. If Sunderland enquire, I imagine SAF will put the offer to O'Shea, just because he feels that long-serving players have earned the right to take the opportunity for regular 1st team football elsewhere, but I don't see him actively trying to unload him, unlike Wes, who will certainly be off this summer.

If Sunderland were to get these three for £12m I think that Brucie could be very happy with a smart piece of business.
Think of it this way; Gibson, O'Shea, Brown (All International and multiple League & Cup winners, as well as two ECL winners with years of PL & European experience) plus £8m in exchange for Henderson.... Really, how bad would that be?

But as I say, I would be a little surprised if O'Shea were to choose to leave. As a Utd supporter, I would be happy to see him stay at OT; unexciting he may be, but I cannot remember him ever letting us down in an important game.

Selling/Buying Darron Gibson & Wes Brown will be good moves for both clubs.

Selling John O'Shea will be a bad move for Man U and a good move for Sunderland. He's a useful utility man to have around.

I've already rang the club and offered to personally drive Gibson there. I'll even go half's with Burce on the transfer fee.

Can't see Fergie letting O'Shea go unless we're also getting in cover at full-back (can you really see Fergie go into a season with just the twins and Evra?).

Wes has had poxy luck, best RB in the country till after Moscow when we had that crazy season where we could barely keep one of Wes, Nev, O'Shea or Rafael fit from one game to the next. Probably best for him to chance a P. Nev if you ask me.

Gibbo, only time will tell.

Good shout for Sunderland or anybody else mid-table that lands any of them if that's how it goes. Best of luck to all concerned, except when they play us

O'Shea has taken over from Phil Neville as top class utility player, and hopefully he will stay. Brown is one of those 'had so much potential' players but never quite fulfilled it - a mixture of some bad injuries, but to be honest, just being below the very best. A decent squad player, but he probably wants regular first team action. Same can be said of Gibson. Some flashes of brilliance but generally you get the feeling that he's not got the class that we are looking for in midfield.

Shame about wes. Remember his debut vs Leeds in 1998. We lost the title and it was his debut, and he was man of the match. Looked like an incredible talent.

Think injuries messed up his potential.

i think with wes it was a case of what has recently happened to a lot of the utd players, basically a lack of a 'run' in the team

I think, with Wes, it was a case of him simply not fulfilling his early talent...

I hope we sign none of the aforementioned, 'cos from I've seen of them two of them are 'rubbish' and Gibson is 'okay'

I'll be hugely disappointed to sign any of them
