I thought I would give everyone a chance to look at how the season might end.
As it stands we have four games to play, Blackpool have three and Shrewsbury five with the others like us playing four. The strange thing is that Crewe who are already down could hold the future of a couple of clubs in its hand as they have to play four of the bottom seven including ourselves.
League One
Oldham 18 42 48 pts
Fleetwood 19 42 47 pts
Shrewsbury 20 41 47 pts
Blackpool 21 43 45 pts
ROVERS 22 42 41 pts
Colchester 23 42 38 pts
Crewe 24 42 30 pts
As stated before Crewe have to play Colchester (h) Oldham (a) ROVERS (h) and Fleetwood (a) meaning if they beat the other three and lose to us it will greatly help us, I cannot see that happening.
Colchester have to play Crewe (a) Burton (h) Barnsley ( a) and Fleetwood (a) .
Blackpool have to play Fleetwood ( a) Wigan (h) and Peterboro (a).
Shrewsbury have to play Sheff Utd (h) Gillingham (h) Walsall (a) Peterboro (h) and Swindon ( a)
Fleetwood have to play Millwall (a) Blackpool (h) Walsall (a) and Crewe (h)
Oldham have to play Southend (a) Crewe (h) Millwall (a) and
Coventry (h)
Finally, we have Chesterfield away on Tuesday, Coventry Home on Saturday, Crewe away and ending with Burton at home.
It looks to be a tough run in but if we win our last four after the result on Saturday, then we should remain in League One. I fear that losing one would be almost putting us in League Two.

If you are making the trip to Chesterfield enjoy the game and get behind the lads.

We see the same then Azza.
In retrospect do you think Matthews maybe could have palmed the shot to safety rather than at the opposing players path

Right Hound, I left yesterday to listen to the Chesterfield player which was obviously biased towards them. I could not take John Buckley anymore and you seemed to be getting an earlier and better commentary. I was always behind you once you decided to post which you are entitled to do.
As for Matthews, I used the word stinker as it is one often used when someone is not playing well. In the first half JB was very critical of the fact that he does not command his area as he should.
When I went onto the other player they were saying that Chesterfield have to attack the keeper as he is having a very poor game.
This is what I based my comment on and actually, if you go on VSC you will see that there is a thread about Matthews and how many have little confidence in him. In fact many want Stuckmann back at the weekend.
To go back to the first point, I could not get enough accurate information about how we were doing as their commentator was finding it difficult to say who was who due to our numbers not being visible. In the end I thought it better to just listen.
By the way the highlights again show that Chesterfield had most of the game and not us as is usual. In fact they do not show the "sitter" miss by Williams., which I would have thought was a turning point of the game.

Lanza most certainly Matthews should have done better with the parry even knock it for a corner. Also Lund who had a poor game should have been more alert from the potential danger.

I was otherwise engaged last night, so even keeping track of the score was a challenge.
However when it's all on a knife edge it is surely the strikers and the goalkeeper that are under the greatest pressure even when the team is on top.

Yankee, fair enough
As i said back, i was listening to what the radio lads were saying so, like you, i only had that to go on.
Donaldo, i agree about the strikers and the keepers.
Mathews or Stuckman?
For me there is no difference.
Azza and Lanza, we agree on Williams then.

Stuckman has been with us long enough to improve his command of his penalty area.he just doesn't do it.
Matthews will get better Stuckman won't

Can we discount the influence of the Goalkeeping Coach. Is he DF'S man or PD'S still?
Stuckmann started well and Matthews seemed decisive in this respect in his early days, didn't he? He seemed competent at Colchester despite their goals.
Do goalkeeper and defence spend enough time working together in these days of intensive specialised training?
There has not always been a commanding figure in the back line of the defence either and that cannot have helped.

The lack of a commanding defender has been obvious to everyone connected with DRFC, well except for one bloke anyway.
