Will We Finally Take an Opportunity?

I make it 3 times this season we have had an excellent opportunity to put real pressure on Lesta, and have blown it each time.

1. the home defeat by lesta 1-0, off a late set piece, when we were the better side all game and a win would have put us virtually neck and neck

2. west ham away, win takes us top. we lose.

3. arsenal home, 2-1 up v ten men, win takes us top (even if only temporarily), and we draw.

unlike the above, anything less than a win and its all over as far as I am concerned. a win and its game on, anything less and its a major disappointment, but if we blow a fourth chance to exert real pressure on lesta, then we don't deserve to win the title.

if the gap is reduced to five, with out better GD, then lesta might just start asking a few questions of themselves, and their clap happy fans will get all nervous

what a massive game !

C O Y SPURSSSSSS!!!!

I also think we will win tonight. I posted a couple of articles over the last few weeks stating Spurs still have a chance and that Leicester would drop points and I was very surprised by the number of fellow Spurs fans who had given up and said that I should too!

It's good to see that the optimism has returned. If we win tonight, then I feel that we will go on to win the league - the game is that big.

I expect Leicester to beat Swansea, but I have always felt that the Man U and Chelsea games for them could be decisive.

If we win tonight, we will go on to win our remaining 4 games.

Even if we do win tonight, it's too little too late. We really should've beaten Arsenal when leading 2-1 with a man advantage. We can hope in vain for us to win all our remaining games, and for Leicester to win only 1 of their last 4 matches. But I can't see it happening.

Here's what might happen (but very unlikely IMO):

Last 4 matches for Leicester: 1 win and 3 draws - 79 pts
Last 5 matches for Spurs: 5 wins - 80 pts

Will Chelsea, Man Utd, Everton and Swansea all help us by taking pts off Leicester? I doubt it but we'll see.

Stoke were absolute pony at Anfield last week.

It is a cold Monday night in Stoke but I'd expect Spurs to win. If they don't then serious questions need to be asked in relation to the op.

Depends which Stoke shows up, they lack the consistency they had under Pulis. We could get the terrible Stoke side that got whacked by Liverpool, or the actually pretty good side that out classed Man City earlier on in the season

as soon as the arsenal game was over I said that we had pretty much lost it there and then.

there is still hope. but lesta need to be dropping points pretty much every time if we are to catch them.

I think we'll win tonight. Stoke aren't anti-football merchants anymore and will try and play football against us. Think we'll do it either 2-0 or 2-1.

Have seen brief highlights of the Lesta game last night and the furore around the ref over some of his decisions. We all moan that refs don't clamp down on things such as diving and all the groping in the box whilst defending corners, yet he does it and is castigated for it

It's clear beyond all reasonable doubt who the media want to win the league this season. Can't imagine there would be such a fuss if a team in 9th place had those calls go against them.

we always seem to get stoke away at a favourable time (end of season or early season). stoke is an absolute shiiiithole and that stadium of theirs has gaps all over it and the wind gets in and swirls about. its also usually cold and wet.

nice spring / autumn evenings are much better for us to play good football
