Life After Kenny

Something to think about to say the least...

Whilst the King has already worked wonders since his comeback earlier this year, it does intrigue me how things are going to pan out when he eventually calls it a day. His contract is for a couple / few years which will give us much needed stability and he certainly has the drive to help us push for CL football and maybe the League in a year or two.

But he is isnt getting any younger. I suspect he will always be involved with the club to ensure his vision is adhered to but it certainly would be strange to see a new manager take the reigns.

Would Carra be ready in the next few years? Stevie G? Well Kenny started young in terms of management but will our beloved duo be up to those pressures in time? It certainly would be strange to think a young, perhaps foreign manager could lead us out onto the Anfield turf instead of those two, especially when they hang up their boots in only a few years.

It's probably not a million miles away from what our Mancunian rivals are pondering when ol' sour face packs it in - will Giggs, Scholes or N****le be up to it or will they turn to oy Keane? Surely they'll keep things 'British' or 'in the family'...regardless of how Mourinho toutes himself as Fergies successor is he really the man to carry on the tradition they hold? His recent spats have been an embarrasment and its not exactly great on the CV despite the trophies he ammassed (which i will always maintain, he has been lucky to manage clubs with a hefty transfer warchest)

My point is that although i am very content with how life is at Anfield and happy things are looking up after last years debacle, i cant help (as im sure most reds do) wondering what the next few years will bring - can we finally conqueor the Premier League? Or are we destined for a decade catching two Manc teams instead of one?

Ive done my level 1 badge and my basic first aid. If you need a mannequin resuscating then Im your man.

Ha! The first aid course is hilarious, we had a REALLY strict woman doing ours, we had to stay in character during the whole thing, otherwise she'd freak out and make us start again...

We had to set up a 'situation' where people out of the room would walk in, assess and treat as necessary. For some reason there was old piano with no working innards, so I took the lid off and got inside with just my legs sticking out. She wasn't impressed...

I think Rudolfo Borrell and Mike Marsh will be contenders.

If we have stream of players from the academy, which is of course the aim, then these two would have managed all of them.

If Gerrard and Carra are contenders with no managerial experience then Borrell and Marsh have to be.

Promote from within should be the aim.

As for Man United, Solksjaer will take over.

He managed their reserve team, and is now manager of Molde in Norway. They are 9 points clear at the top of the table so far in his first season.

After a few more years managerial experience, assuming he is successful, he will be in the perfect position to take over from Fergie.

Villa-Boas of however you spell his name, is too much a Mourinho clone and just wouldn't fit in. My choice? As ever, if he's British, there's only one: David Moyes. JimmyTheRed

Sami is already coaching now with Leverkusen. Love to see him come back one day. The other ex-player who said he'd love to come back as manager one day is Didi Hamann, but he said he didn't fancy his chances of getting in ahead of Carra!

I'm still kind of a big deal round here to be honest but I'll put my name forward when the time comes. First order of the day will be to bring back Igor Biscan as President for Life.
