Europa League participation

I'm sure that a club with dignity would hold their hands up and say that 'we were beaten fair and square. We do not want to put the integrity of the game into question by accepting a place in the Europa league. We will gracefully accept that we are not good enough to compete in europe and give up on this opportunity. Sion deserve there place. We argued a similar techicality with our football association in order to get our manager's touchline ban reduced. We even got a QC on the case. It would be hypocritical of us to taken advantage of this situation. We'd get pure humped anyway.'
However, as it's Celtic who lack any dignity whatsoever, I doubt the above statement will be made.

If we are going to have integrity in football it was important that Celtic appealed to UEFA irrespective of the outcome. Most normal observers feel Sion fielded
illegal players. If that is the case, it must be sorted out by UEFA. Similarly if by some fluke Rangers had qualified their playing of a player who may or may not have been illegal would have been tested by UEFA.
It appears the first appeal was lost because it was lodged outside the correct time allowed (24hours).
They were given 72 hours to appeal ie two days after the 2nd leg. Similarly if as I say Rangers had qualified an appeal would have to have been made.
We know in Scotland if there is any opportunity to make a decision in Ranger favour it is given.

Doesn't matter whether they won 3-1 or 13-1 on aggregate. Sion breached the rules and fielded ineligible players. They should be turfed out, no question about it.

It would kill the rangers supporters to see us in the europa cup, i'd be happy to see us there just to annoy the tax dodging hoardes.

Does not matter if the players signed are better or worse. Rules are set and Sion broke them. They were clearly told not to play any new players. You can't just break the rules to suit yourself, should we have just borrowed Jelavic since we lost Hooper to injury? That breaks a few rules, but would have suited us.

Fair play to Celtic, if it was Rangers I'd wouldn't say no to a second bite.

I don't always agree with how Celtic conduct themselves, but this was a no brainer. Sion cheated, kick them out.
