Yep, silly season is here again!

It would certainly pee off the Villa fans though!

Never in a million years. He's on £140k a week at Liverpool. Imagine how the other players would react to that. He's had one decent season at Villa.
Would not want him even at £40k a week. He's no longer good enough.

Reported he'd take a £139k pay cut though Al. We'd probably get him for a few grand as well. E-aw, E-aw.

His price has dropped to around £18m but he won't get out of bed for less than £100k per week.
Not a bad deal if he can keep Albion up next season, with £140m guaranteed from SKY.

The £18 million wouldn't be a problem but the wages would. Mind you we reportedly offered André-Pierre Gignac £75k a week last summer.
I wouldn't be surprised if we offered to take him on loan. I can't see they'll be that many clubs willing to pay full whack for a striker who's not considered good enough for the top clubs. I'd also imagine that the Premier League is his only option which really limits his options.
As for whether he's good enough. I'd have him in a heart beat. It's nonsense to suggest he's had one good season. He's averaged 1 goal in 2 for Villa over THREE seasons and that's in a poor team.
This may never happen but he'd be the ideal Pulis centre forward.
